The aim of the project was to unite the operators of culture and tourism in Turku and Tallinn and create new and more customer friendly services and product combinations; to build up a permanent country and regional image; to find a product group attractive enough to arouse great European and global interest.
The concrete targets were building up collaboration, new culture based quality tourism products and through it to increase the number of foreign tourists in Turku and Tallinn regions. For practical work project had working groups with representatives of the partners and other experts supporting the implementation of the project. Partner companies (tourism and culture entrepreneurs) were provided with necessary expertise and possibilities to learn in workshops and through e-learning.
Project Developing Cultural Tourism as a joint network in Capitals of Culture 2011 (Cultural Tourism 2011) was funded by Central Baltic Interreg IV A programme. Project was administrated by Turku Touring/City of Turku and other partners were
